"I'll eat you up!"
Based on the 2009 movie (which is, of course, based on the Maurice Sendak book—who doesn't love that book?!), this game features a dark and unique storyline that is somewhat disassociated from the film. The game is, to this day, among my favorite game development experiences. I was lucky enough to work with some amazingly talented programmers; we created some truly amazing multi-level gameplay as well as massive, eye-popping sprite-based characters that had never before been seen on the Nintendo DS. I also got to work with two legendary pixel artists, Henk Nieborg (who created all of game's backgrounds and tilesets) and Paul Robertson (who animated many of the characters).
